THE BRIDE TO BE

This is my second card as a Guest Designer for The Creative Card Crew Challenge. The theme is wedding. Since I have never made a wedding card before, this was defintely a challenge. The image is Whiff of Joy. I also entered this card in the following challenges:

The image was stamped with gold and embossed with gold. It was colored with Copics and cut out twice and popped up. With my glaze pen I went over the flower bouquet, cut it out, and popped it up a third time. To get more color I added lace with gold flowers around the arch she is sitting on and various other embellishments.

The inside is simple but elegant. I used my nestabilities for the hearts.

I would love to hear what you think so please leave me a comment.

Thank you for looking and if you have any questions, please email me.

RAIN or SHINE - YOU'RE ALWAYS THERE

I am honored to be the Guest Designer this week on the Creative Card Crew Challenge . The theme for this week is weather related. Willow with an umbrella seemed like a perfect choice. She is a Whiff of Joy stamp. The look on her face is so happy and peaceful. She enjoys takiing a stroll in the rain. She is also entered in the card challenges:

Creative Inspirations

Lili of the Valley

Charisma Cardz

Her umbrella is paper pieced with Willow is colored with Copics and a little stickles were added to her pants. a little stickles added and popped up just a little to give it a 3D effect. The middle strip was punched with my MS punch and then I added lace and pearls.

The flowers are some I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo.

MYRTLE THE TURTLE

I made this card for a very very special friend. She has a little desert turtle named Myrtle. Myrtle is brown and not green. She has a wonderful little flower garden she stays in and is enjoying the summer. I saw this stamp at the Scrapbook Expo last weekend and immediately thought of her. It is a Inky Antics Stamp. The little hill she is standing on is a Whiff of Joy stamp. I am entering this card in The Simon Says Challenge, Stamp with Fun Challenge, Allsorts Challenge, and the ABC Challenge.

The images are heat embossed. After coloring with Copics I went back over the leaves and some of the flowers with my versamark pen then clear embossed them. Only a little stickles was applied.

The leaves were punched with a MS punch and layered so she could take a nap. The green DP is embossed and has glitter on it. I couldn't get it to show up very well in the pictures.

Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Please email me if you have any questions.

THIS LITTLE MOUSE IS READY TO PARTY

This mouse is ready to party. I am going to call him Henry. Henry is ready to celebrate a birthday, graduation, anniversary, or just life. This is a Whiff of Joy stamp that has been heat embossed and colored with Copics. This card will be my first entry in The Next Level Challenge. I have also entered it into the Everybody Art Challenge, The Creative Card Crew Challenge, Creative Inspirations, The Charisma Cardz Challenge, The Dutch Dare Card Challenge., and The Simon Says Challenge.

I used my versamark pen and clear embossed the icing, candle, and flame. There is just a little stickles on the blue cupcake holder and the icing.

Looks like Henry may have partied too much. This is another Whiff of Joy stamp. Again, I used my versamark pen and clear embossed the hat. I used my cuttlebug to cut the red corners. The candles are also heat embossed.

Just a note to let everyone know you can check this site and the Whiff of Joy stamps are on sale. They are also having a huge sale on other items.

GONE FISHING

Since it is getting close to Father's Day I figured I should make a card. Most of the men and boys I know like to fish so I thought this would make a nice card. Actually, fishing is a good summer sport for all ages of both girls and boys. There are twelve layers on the front of this card. To me it is a very versatile card that can even be used for birthday, friendship or even a thank you card. I am going to enter it in the My Time to Craft challenge, The Inspirational Card Sketch challenge, Cafe Mojo, One Stop Craft challenge, The Dutch Double Dare challenge, and Lili of the Valley challenge.

I stamped and heat embossed the image, then colored it with copics. I cut out the fish and popped him up. I added crystal effects to the rocks and parts of the water. Then a little stickles.

The inside stamp is a Creative Image stamp. It has also been stamped and heat embossed. I sponged the background paper and used a spica glitter pen to accent.

Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment. If you have any questions, please email me.

LILY-MAGIC FAIRY could not make up her mind ...

Lily-Magic Fairy is so peaceful and happy and she had so much to say she couldn't decide on what senitment to use. I created this card for several challenges; Simon Says Challenge, Creative Inspirations, and the Cupcake Craft Challenge. Please check out these challenges. They have lots and lots of ideas.
There are many layers and techniques used on this card. The image was stamped and heat embossed. I did a technique that is new to me which was painting with Tim Holtz distress inks. I used this technique in combination with water coloring using SU inks. Her wings were painted using Shimmerz. I love this paints. They give just the right shimmer. The little dots on the mushrooms were glazed using Crystal Effects to give them a glossy look. Of course, there is a little stickles added here and there.

I stamped the green background paper. The DP is from Close To My Heart It worked really well with this image.

I have been wanting to try a different style, so I made the left side a pocket.

Remember, Lily couldn't make up her mind what she wanted to say, so I made 5 different tags for different occassions. The sentiments were stamped and heat embossed. I stamped the background with Close To My Heart ink which matched the paper.

Thank you for looking at my card and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

HAVE A HAPPY DAY

Isn't this little angel just bursting with happiness? Angels are one my favorite images to work with. This particular angel is from the SU set "If the halo fits". I made this card using the sketch Saturday layout for this week. They are celebrating their one year anniversary - HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!

The image is stamped and heat embossed and colored with Copics. The sentiment is also heat embosse. There is a a lot of machine stitching and layering on this card. I love the colors. The purple may show as blue on some computers, but it is different shades of purple.

I tried to capture the shimmerez on the wings, flower, and halo. Also, the DP is gorgeous. It is embossed and shiney and has just a touch of glitter.

Because the DP is so pretty, I left the inside a little plain.

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I always enjoy hearing from people and learning from them.

Thank you for looking.

FIELD OF DREAMS - PLAY BALL

This little guy is ready to play ball. He is a Penny Black stamp that I have had for a while, but never got around to using. Since it is summer, this is perfect for some of the various challenges I want to enter. It is being entered in Simon Says, Whimsy Stamps, Creative Inspirations, Cafe Mojo, One Stop, Allsorts, Creative Card Crew , Just Magnolia and Penny Black. As usual, it always takes me forever to decide on paper. I finally decided on Close To My Heart with all the male colors. The colors are so bright, cheery, and look like summer.
The image is heat embossed and then colored with the gamsol technique. The clouds were airbrushed. The green background paper on the side of the card has been dry embossed.
There is a lot of stitching on the inside of this card, as well, as the front.
Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
