THANKS SO MUCH - TIOT #56

This little sweet girl "Winter Susan" from the new Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #3 for SCACD.

This card turned out much better than what I thought it was going to. Our challenge this week was Topsy Turvy - use a stamp for a different occasion than what it was intended. The layout is the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge this week. The image is colored with Copics and the gift and patch on her pants are enhanced with Spica pens. Now to the good part. I have never used Magic Mesh before - it is good stuff. It has been around for awhile, but now it comes in different textures. I used it as a background, punched it out on blue cardstock for my flowers, and stamped and embossed the sentiment on it. How cool is that? The DP is from Nana's Kitchen pack and the cardstock is CTMH. I tore the blue cardstock and then inked the edges a little. Finished it off with Robin's Nest dew drops and a button.

I found a few challenges to enter:

Saturday Spotlight - Do the Mess Around
Crafty Creations - Stitching
Paper Sundaes - Distress - tear paper
Friday Sketchers
Incy Wincy Designs - Touchy Feely - add texture
Practical Scrappers - Stamps
Stamp with Fun - Stitch
Fussy and Fancy - Dazzle Us
One Stitch at a Time - Stitching
Cute Daisy May - Flowers
SophistiCats - Embossing
A Spoonful of Sugar - Distress Ink (used around the torn edges of cs)
Creative Inspirations - Thank You Card

I followed the same scheme and texture on the inside. The Magic Mesh comes in alot of colors even Pink.

Now, go check out the other DT samples here and let them know what you think. They have some really really fabulous and creative projects.

Susana has gotten in some really COOL stuff in the store. Don't miss out on any of the latest and newest items. There is the new Magic Mesh and BEAUTIFUL Robin's Nest flat back diamonds and mini drops. No Wait on the Spellbinders 2010 - they are now in stock.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY !!!!

Woo Hoo !! Today is the day for a fun blog hop to celebrate the release of the NEW ELISABETH BELL SAMPLER EDITION #3 for SCACD. Just wait till you see these cuties, you will want them all. This image is "IRISH EYES".

I know St. Patrick's Day isn't until next month, but I wanted to get an early start. She is colored with Copics and the pink on her vest and cuffs are enhanced with a NEW product called SMOOCH ILLUMINATE!! This is the first time I have used this product. I tell ya, I am in love with it. The brush is so fine you can use it in really small areas. I used it over my Copics and it gives it a really nice sparkle and sheen. The shamrocks are colored with my Spica pens. The DP I used by Best Creations is embossed and glittered so I didn't want to cover it up with alot of layers. If you click on the image it will enlarge and you can see the glitter on the shamrocks on the DP and her vest as well as the embossing on the DP. I used my MS punch for the side border and my favorite tool of all time - Bow Easy - to set off the image. To finish off the card, I used Petaloo Dazzlers

.
I found a few challenges to enter this card in:
Corrosive Challenge - Sew It Up
ABC Challenge - "O" is for one paper
Practical Scrappers - Flowers
Stamp Something - Spring Somethings

For the inside top I only used the DP, it speaks for itself. The shamrocks on the bottom were cut my Cricut and layered and the little green shamrock was a stamp I had in my stash.

Now on to the blog hop. You should have arrived to me from Danni's blog and continue on to Jennifer's blog. You will be amazed to see what the DT and guests have in store for you. You can check the store blog to see the order of the hop. Be sure and check out the store to see all the NEW PRODUCTS.

Thank You for stopping by. I appreciate your comments.

OOPS! I almost forgot. This Sunday (21st) I am going to be posting fabulous BLOG CANDY!

Our challenge this week was 3 layers. I interpeted it as 1 cardstock and 2 DP. The image is colored with Copics. The flowers are on her shoes are popped up. I added a little stickles on the flowers for some glitz. I used my new deep edge punch by MS and added some half flatback pearls. Then finished off the card with some flowers and roses.

The inside is a little different. I tried using one of the new MS punches for a border around the top. It looks really cool in person.

SENDING HUGS AND KISSES - TIOT 54

Hi ALL!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and managed to stay warm. It was a nice weekend here in Central Texas.

This image is perfect for our challenge this week. I figure it can be used to send love anytime of the year, but perfect for Valentine's. It is a Lockhart stamp - "Mailbox of Love".

Our wonderful DT was challenged this week to make a Valentine's project using the colors pink, red, and purple. I just happen to have the right color of DP. The DP is K and Company and has some glitter on it and worked well with the image. The cardstock is Doodlebug glitter. Since I am sending this to my grandchildren I thought a shaker card would be perfect and it has been a long time since I have made one. The little red hearts inside the shaker are MS. The scallop is a Nestabilitie and the border and hearts are MS punches. I love the detail of the heart punch.

The image is stamped with Momento ink and colored with Copics. I want to let you know Susana also sells the Copics in color bundles. Even though it is inside a shaker I still used Stickles for some glitz on the hearts. To finish it off I added a bow (made with my Bow Easy) and added a charm.

I hit the jackpot on challenges this week. I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Belli Challenge - Ribbon
Charisma Cardz #5 - I Love you
Lili of the Valley #46 - Valentine
Paperplay Challenge - Love Notes
Frosted Designs - Valentine
Fussy & Fancy #3 - Hearts
Raise the Bar - Hearts
Ooh-La-La Creations #47 - Love
Stamp with Fun - Hearts
The Pink Elephant - Mushy Gushy Valentine
Created by Hand - Valentine
Creative Card Crew #44 - Valentine
Everybody Art Challenge #78 - Valentine
My Time to Craft Challenge #18 - Hugs and Kisses
Stamp Something - Love Somethings
Stampin for the Weekend - Valentine
Crazy 4 Challenge - Valentine

The top punch on the inside is a new MS deep edge punch. On the bottom I used a heart Nestabilitie and then added two of the red glitter hearts.

Be sure and check out the other DT projects here.

Also, a reminder that Susana has alot of new items in the store including the new Ultrafine Flower Soft.

Thank you for stopping by and I really appreciate all the comments and checking out your blogs.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR - TIOT #53/SKETCH

Good Morning ! Can you believe it is already February? Spring is just around the corner. This image is from the Aurora Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD. Are you ready for Spring? I am and so is Aurora.

This week our challenge was to follow a Sketch by Suzanne. The image is colored with Copics with Stickles applied for added glitz. I used my Cuttlebug folder "Victoria" to emboss the pink background and added half flatback pearls for some more dimension. I made the bow with the Bow Easy - it is one of my favorite tools. This image is so versatile. I can think of several occasions it can be used for so I will wait and stamp a sentiment later.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Blooming Gorgeous
Dutch Dare Card Challenge #70 - Summer in Winter
Practical Scrappers - Die Cuts
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays - Open
ABC Challenge - New - use something new (stamp and paper is new)
Belli Challenge - Ribbon

I only took a picture of the bottom of the inside. The top is stitched with the DP only. It is really all that was needed. The frame and photo corners were punched and embossed with my Cuttlebug. The tulips were perfect for an added accent. A friend of mine does Quickutz embellishments and I got these from her.

Be sure to check out the other DT creations here and see what they did this week. The creations are so awesome.

Thank you for stopping by and come back!!
