HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOCCER CHICK

Are you awake yet? This card really isn't quiet as bright as the pictures, but it is a hot pink. This is one of my favorite images. Meet Jennifer. She comes with three different sports balls. She is from the Spring Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.

The challenge this week was a fabulous sketch. This is a simple card, but it does have a lot of bling, maybe too much. (lol) I don't know what is going on with my camera. I tried different lighting, but the pictures still really came out bright. Jennifer is colored with Copics and the background is sponged. There is just a little Stickles on the flowers and her ponytail band. The hearts on the ribbon were red, but I used my Copics and colored them pink. I found the buttons in my stash and glued on some rhinestones for some bling.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Dimensions
Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Sewing
Papertake Weekly - Open

My granddaughter is turning 11 and she plays soccer and is in to bright colors and lots of bling. This image reminded me of her.
Be sure to check out the other DT projects. They are super.

REMINDER: Go over to the SCACD and see all the new goodies Susana has gotten in. The Viva Decor pens are sensational. She has new Prima flowers and Zva Creative.

Thank you for stopping by. I apologize for the pictures being so bright.

EASTER CARD and GIFT

Happy Sunday everyone!! Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend. We are having beautiful weather in Central Texas right now. It is supposed to be 80 today.

Our TIOT this past week was a little delayed, but what better way to start your week off than with some new ideas. Our challenge this week was to create an Easter or Spring gift. I decided to use Little Aud from the new Spring Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.
For my card I wanted to try a side step card. The pictures are a little dark. The colors are a pretty lavender and teal. I colored Little Aud with my Copics and cut out an extra rabbit to put with the eggs. There are some new products on my card. I used the new Ultrafine Flower Soft on the bunnies tummies and in the center of the flowers. If you click on the picture you can enlarge it and see it better. On the Easter eggs I used the new Viva Decor Paper Pens to create my pearls. I used the Pink and Lilac. When you visit SCACD there is a video to show how these wonderful pens can be used. Whether you purchase one or not, the video is worth watching. Did you will notice the little shimmer on the roses and flowers, I sprayed them with the new Tsukineko psst Shimmer Spritz. This new Spritz is really really nice. You only have to spray once.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:

Corrosive Challenge - Easter
Paper Sundaes - Photo Challenge (I used the colors teal and purple)
Pile it on Challenge - Animal-Riffic (2 bunnies)
Creative Inspirations - Anything but a Card (Basket)
Incy Wincy Designs - Sewing
Everybody Art Challenge - Easter
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Spring has Sprung
Cute Card Thursday - Dimensions
Paperplay Challenge - Easter
Daring Cardmakers - How Egg-citing
Fussy and Fancy - Easter
Stampin for the Weekend - Easter

I have seen several different baskets lately on some of the blogs I visit and I thought this one where you have to weave the strips would be fun. It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. The tutorial can be found here. The ribbon was a great find in a little shop in a tourist town. The butterflies were already attached to it, with pearls and all. I used my MS punch to make the handle. The stamp is from my stash. The Pearls on the handle and the Easter Egg were made using Viva Decor Paper Pen - Pink. Then just a little Stickles was added on the egg.

This is a picture of the another side of the basket. I used my nestabilities for the flower and added a Petaloo flower in the center. The flower is sprayed with Tsukineko psst Shimmer Spritz - Sparkle.

Please visit the store blog and see the other marvelous creations by the DT. Can you believe Easter is so early this year?

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed it and will come back again.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE - TIOT

Good Morning from Texas. This image is "Little Marti" from the new Spring Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.
We had a really fun challenge this week. It was a movie Challenge. We had to use an image that reminded us of a movie. As soon as I saw this little girl with the big hat it reminded me of Strawberry Shortcake. I had a small strawberry stamp that I used for the strawberries on her hat. I colored the stamp and then stamped it. To make her hat a little sparkly I decided to use some Smooch Illuminate on the pink. It worked perfectly. She was colored with Copics with a little Stickles added to her shirt and the strawberries. Crystal Effects was used to gloss the teacup, saucer, plate, and pan. The paper lace was made from my MS punch. The flowers were sprayed with Smooch Spritz -Vanilla Shimmer to give them a nice little sparkle. To finish her off, I made a bow with my Bow Easy and added a strawberry charm. You can click on any of the pictures to enlarge them if you want to see the sparkle.

This is the second Easel Card I have made. I don't know why I haven't made more. I really enjoy making them.

I am going to enter Strawberry Shortcake in the following challenges:

Ooh La La Creations - Anything Goes

One Stop Craft Challenge - Spots and Dots (flowers and white w/pink dots)
Saturday Spotlight SSHP22 - You're so slick (Crystal effects on dishes)
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes
My Time to Craft Challenge - Lace (Paper lace)

The background lattice was made with my deep edge punch from MS. The strawberry stamp is one I had in my stash. The flatback pearls are also from my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed viewing this card.

Thank you for stopping by. Now go on over to the store blog and see what the other DT members have come up with. They have really come up with some good movies. They are so creative and talented.

LITTLE DIANNE - NEW RELEASE BY VICTORIA CASE

Did you notice the name of the post? Susana named a stamp after the DT members. Isn't that the sweetest thing ever? Thank you Susana. This image is "LITTLE DIANNE" and it is one of the images from the new release SPRING IS IN THE AIR by Victoria Case for SCACD. I love it!! She is just having so much fun.

Today we are having a fun Blog Hop. You should have arrived to my blog from Jennifer's blog. From my blog you will continue to Marti's blog. Don't miss anyone. The DT has done a magnificent job in show casing the images and they are the CUTEST images you have ever seen.

I was browsing the internet (imagine that) and came across a tutorial for a Tent card here. I think they are so cute so I thought I would give it a try. It was so much fun to make. After I colored the image with Copics, I cut it out and put the front tire just over the edge to give it even more dimension. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see I added a little stickles to her shirt and pony tail holders. I used my Spica pens on the sparklers on her handle bars. The large bow is made with my Bow Easy and I put a brad in the center. The three brads on each side on the top help hold the card together, even though I glued it, The paper is Best Creations and the kites have glitter on them making them sparkle so pretty in the blue sky.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Ooh La La Creations - Anything Goes
Stamp with Fun Challenge - Spring
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Something for a Child

On the back side of the card I glued another piece of the DP and the way I cut it left enough room for me to write a short note.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

REMINDER: MY BLOG CANDY DRAWING IS THIS SUNDAY (14th). If you haven't had a chance to sign up you still have 2 days.

SWEET AND FANCY - TIOT #58

"Oh Baby" is all dressed up with her fancy Easter/Spring dress on. She is so cute she looks like a little doll. This image is from the Sampler Edition #3 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

Suzanne, our DT leader, gave us a wonderful challenge this week. It was to use buttons in a creative way. I can usually think of a million ways to use buttons, but this week when I tried my mojo was hiding. The intent was for them to look like little flower centers/buds. The pearls are Kaisercraft and are a beautiful lavender. I wished the pictures could have picked up the color better. The DP is CTMH and the flowers and ribbon are from my stash. The leaves and border were punched with MS punches. Of course, to finish it off I applied some stickles to her hairband, dress, and shoes. There really are some pretty sparkly glittery shoes for little girls. I think my little granddaughter has every color.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - Use Pink and Purple
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Flower Power
Ooh La La Creations - Anything Goes
Pollycraft Challenges - Distressing
My Time to Craft - Kids Kardz
Hand Full of Stamps - Let it Shine - interpret (She is shining)
Stamp Something - Something Girly
Sweet Stampin - Something for a child

The inside has the same border as the front. The sentiment block was cut with my nestabilities and a flower with another button bud added.

To see more wonderful creations and ways to use buttons go to the store blog and check out what other projects the amazing DT has done.

HEARTSTRINGS - TIOT #57

Good Morning!! You are looking at another cute image from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD-Edition #3. This is Heartstrings.

We were challenged this week to use pink, sage/moss green, and cream/white. I had alot of fun making this card. I got really really messy with the distressing. The image is colored with Copics and highlighted with Spica pens. I sponged the background and got really messy again. I found the large fabric rose, lace doily and bow in my stash. The pin has a couple of pearls and a small pink crystal. The smaller roses are Prima. I punched the leaves with my MS punch and I used my new MS eyelet lace punch for the border on the background. This is not my usual style, but I think it came out okay. You can't really see the glitter in the DP, but it is really pretty. If you click on the picture I think you will be able to see it. The DP is K & Company.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Distressing
Practical Scrappers - Use chalks or Inks
The Pink Elephant - Add green to your color combo
Spoon Full of Sugar - Use beads (beads on pin)
Simon Says - Vintage with Flowers
Cute Card Thursday - Ribbon (bow)
Stamp Something - Use Designer Paper, Button, Ribbon (button on bow)
Secret Crafter Challenge - Stitching
Creative Inspirations - Lace, pins, pearls (Lace doily, pin with pearls and crystal, pearls on the inside)

I used my new MS punch for the inside as well and added some flatback pearls. The background of this card is Ivory not white.
