JUST BEING HAPPY !!!

Good Morning! Here is another wonderful image from the latest release from the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5. She is called "Flower Power". I think she looks so happy so could be taking flowers to someone celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or just because. Whatever the occasion she will make them happy and bring a smile to their face.

The TIOT for this week is a sketch. Please be sure and check the blog today and Thursday and see what great projects the DT has created. Shhhh! Don't say anything, but I messed up the TIOT this week. It is a sketch, plus FS - I forgot to add the FS and I am out of town so I can't add any.

Here is my take on the sketch. The pics are really dark, but the card is really bright and sparkly. I colored the image with Copics and then on her belt and flowers I added some Stickles. In the center of the flowers I put a Kaisercraft Rhinestone, but the pic doesn't show them too well. Maybe, if you click and enlarge the pic you can see them better. I used the VIVA transparent gloss gel on the leaves. The flowers are some I add in my stash and then I used some rhinestone brads for the centers and my MS punch for the leaves. The bottom of the card is longer than the top and I used my MS punch and sponged some green ink for detail and added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones. The blue fiber is some I have had forever.

GONE FISHING

Good Morning!! I am in love with this new release set Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5. This little boy reminds me so much of my grandson so, of course, I made this card for him. The image is called "Gone Fishing".

Before I get to my card, you should have arrived here from the talented Rowena's blog. Thank you for joining us in our Blog Hop. There are so many creative projects I know you will have fun.

I realized when I was coloring this little guy, he could be used to celebrate a birthday, retirement or many occasions. I am actually going to use it as a Get Well card even though on the outside it doesn't say Get Well. The image is colored with Copics and I used my VIVA Glitter Pen on the fish on his cap and pole. The pole is colored with a Spica Pen. I make a lot of little girl cards so when I make a boy card I really have to search for embellishments. The little beige metal clip on the left is from CTMH and the buttons are from my stash and I tied Scrapper's Floss in each one. The two fish embellishments are actually fishing lures and I cut off the hooks. I think the end result turned out nice.

This card is "Joy Fold Card". The tutorial is here. Of course, I changed my measurements a little. I have never made one and wanted to do something different. It was fun. I may try a different variation next time.

There is plenty of room on the inside to stamp or write something. I will definitely try this again.

LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER

Good Morning!! This image is "Lazy Days" from the Victoria Case Summer Collection for SCACD. She is so versatile. Check out some of the DT projects for some of the various themes.

I had quiet a challenge making this card. The DT was to make a project/card using some kind of weaving or braiding using paper, ribbon, or whatever we chose. This Design Paper is so pretty I decided to weave it. Susana carries this paper in the store, it is Kaisercraft Gypsy Sister. The sand she is standing on is a mixture of Flower Soft Ultra Fine - Sand and Stardust Stickles. When you click on the picture it enlarges and you can see some of the details better. I used my Spica pens on her shirt, top of her shoes, and the flowers on her hat. Did you notice the pretty glossy leaves on her hat? I used the VIVA Decor Gloss Gel Pen - Transparent. I know you have seen these little Tiny Tot flowers on some of my other cards - I love these little guys I can use them in so many different ways. The large flowers are also Prima that I purchased at a Scrapbook show a long time ago. To finish my card I used my MS punch, Kaisercraft Rhinestone, and my favorite tool - the Bow Easy for my bow.

SENDING YOU SOME SUNSHINE - TIOT

Good Morning! How is everyone this bright sunny day? Today is just perfect for a swim or a day at the beach. This image is "By The Sea" from the Victoria Case Summer Collection for SCACD. She looks like she is having so much fun with the little fish swimming around her feet.

This card was a lot of fun to make. The image was so much fun because she is just so refreshing and makes you smile. There were lots of different products used on this card. The DT was to use as many of the VIVA DECOR PRODUCTS as possible. I always use a lot so that wasn't hard for me. I looooove them. The water was supposed to look wavy so I applied the VIVA Gloss Pen Gel - Transparent in wave strokes instead of smooth. VIVA has a Glitter Liner Pen - Hologram that I used on the flowers on her cap and the sailboat on her swimsuit. I actually applied it with a brush. Notice the little pearls on the ocean floor - they were made with the VIVA Cream - Pearl Pen. The little shells were some stamps I have had for years. I painted them with various VIVA PENS and then applied a thin coat of the VIVA Glitter Gel - Hologram. Aren't those little flowers just adorable? They are Prima Tiny Tots. The little butterflies were made using MS punches with a thin coat of the VIVA Glittler Gel - Hologram applied.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Good Morning Ya'll!! Did you all have a wonderful weekend? I sure did. I locked myself in my scrapbook room all weekend and crafted away. This is one of the projects I finished. Isn't this bear precious? It is "Teddie and Friend" from the Victoria Case Summer Collection for SCACD.

There were a lot of different fun products used on this card. I love making easel cards. Okay, to the card - the mesh on the background is a Bronze Self Adhesive Fine Weave and it added just the right texture needed. Talk about texture. See the big red heart on his tummy - that is Strawberry Ultrafine Flower Soft - even sounds sweet for a Dad. The flowers on Teddi's head have been glazed with Viva Transparent Gloss Gel Pen and a little Viva 3D Glitter Pen added. The flowers by his feet have a little Flower Soft and I used the Viva Transparent Gloss Gel Pen on the leaves. The beautiful butterfly is a Maya Road Mini Chipboard that I colored with my Copics and added Viva Decor Glitter Gel - Hologram. Teddie himself is also colored with Copics. The frame around Teddie is simple with Buttons and Scrapper's Floss.

Our Creative Corner - Summer Inspiration

We were challenged this week to make an invitation using red, white, and blue. Using this image it can be for any kind of party - Sleepover, BBQ, Birthday, Girls Night Out, Crop, and the list goes on. I am going to save it until I decide which I want to have. If you click on the picture and enlarge it, hopefully, you can see some of the products I used. On the buttons and around the sentiment I used the Viva Decor Glitter Pen, also on the bows in her hair - this is the first time I have used this product. It is much more glitzy than Stickles and I believe a little less messy. I used Smooch Azure Ink on the dresses and the butterflies on the red shoes. I used red dot sparklers for ear rings. The image is colored with Copics.
