TWO TURTLE DOVES

This image is "Two Turtle Doves" from "The Special Edition Ornament Collection" by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD being released today. Susanna is releasing TWO new mini stamp sets today for purchase in her store at 9:00AM (EST). One is the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD “The Special Edition Ornament Collection” and the other is by Victoria Case for SCACD “Everyday Gals” .

“The Special Edition Ornament Collection" consists of four beautiful holiday stamps. However, they have a lot of versatility . Three of the stamps are ornaments, but if you remove the outside of the ornament you can use the image in a different way – two images in one stamp. The fourth image can be used for various celebrations.

The “Everyday Gals” set by Victoria Case suit any woman of today. Whether you want a working woman or one of leisure, there is a suitable stamp.

I am entering this gift box in the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew Challenge - All That Sparkles and
Everybody Art Challenge - Little Gifts
ABC Challenge - E is for embossing - All parts of my image are heat embossed
Simon Says Challenge - Color Combo/Red and Green

I made a gift box from The Special Edition Ornament Collection – 2 Turtle Doves. The box is made from Reminisce Paper. All of the paper has embossing and glitter on it. I paper pieced the ornament by stamping it and heat embossing it on different paper, then cut it out. The image is colored with Copics and enhanced using Stickles on her dress. I used a Gold Spica pen to highlight her hair and bow, and on the beads. The two turtle doves are done with Shimmerez Pixie Dust. I really like the Pixie Dust. It is so white. Glitter dots were used for the berries on the holly and added some dimension. Of course, Flowersoft – Polar White was used for the snow. The FS is the best product I have used for realistic snow. These images are so versatile.

The edge around the box has ribbon with beads and bells. The bells actually ring when you shake the box. I haven’t decided exactly what I am going to put in the box – maybe, a couple of Christmas ornaments, candles or chocolate.

Be sure to check out the other DT samples – they are amazing !!

Butterfly Trifold Shutter

Good Morning Everyone!! Here is another Trifold Shutter Card. These are a lot of fun to make and you can do such a variety.

I stamped flourshes on the paper and heat embossed with a bright shiny gold. The butterflies are embossed with a copper emobossing powder. The gold butterflies are charms on a leaf ribbon.

This is what it looks like closed. The flourishes and embossing show up better in this picture.

Crazy in Love

Good Morning !! I am crazy in love with the Polar White Flower Soft. It is a different texture than the regular flower soft. Suzanne challenged us this week to use Flower Soft. I kinda went overboard. Join us for TIOT #37.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew Challenge - Decorate the inside of your card
Papertake Weekly Challenge - faking it -
Paper Blooms Challenge - Bling

I was trying to capture the texture and look of the new Polar White Flower Soft. It looks like real snow. Of course, I had to have more sparkle so I added a little glitter to the Flower Soft.

Before I tell you about the card, I want to tell you about the Bow Easy I purchased from SCACD. It is wonderful. This is the first bow I made with it, you can make a single loop, but I wanted a double loop. Suzanne, our DT leader, has a wonderful video on her blog on how to use it. It is really easy. Best of all, it is only $5.00.

The card is pretty simple because the DP is so busy. The image is a Serendipity Stamp from SCACD. The snowflakes on the DP are embossed and glitzy. The image is heat embossed and colored with Copics. The broom, pockets and star on the birdhouse are colored with Spica glitterpens. The balls and leaves are glossed and a little stickles on the scarf and hat band. The snow flakes are punched with two different MS punches with a rhinestone in the center.

The paper is so pretty I really didn't want to cover it up. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see the tips of the snowflake. Again I used the MS punches. The snowflake was cut with my Cricut.

Please go check out the rest of the DT samples. They are amazing.

Thank you for stopping by. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Don't forget I will be posting blog candy Sept. 30th and draw on October 10th.

TEXAS FOLD EM

Good Morning to Ya'll !! Well, this is my first attempt at a Tri-fold Shutter card. The large Texas image was heat embossed, the star was bleached, and I embossed it twice with Amazing Glaze. This was the first time for me to use this product. It does give it a nice high gloss shine.

I am entering this in the Stamp Something Challenge - something with your favorite color or paper and Papertake Weekly Challenge - Faking it - I have fake burlap and fake wood.
I am also entering it in the Cupcake Craft Challenge - distressing and torn edges

The gold and brown horses, single horsemen, boots, Texas, cloud, oil well, paisley, Texas forever. and Made in Texas are all stamps. It is amazing to me how the horses turned out. The pair of boots is actually a single boot and then I masked and stamped the other boot. Most of the stamps are Deadbeat stamps. Mark designs the Texas stamps and has a website if any of you are interested.
This was a fun card to do. I am going to do another Trifold Shutter card later but change the scoring and cutting just a little. Just a couple of more weeks and we have the TEXAS-OU game. It is a monstrous rivalry.

WANNA PLAY ??

Get your sunglasses on to view this card. Here are some friends on Game Night playing cards and having fun.. This is another image from the Victoria Case Series #2 for SCACD. This card really looks better in person. I dropped my camera and broke it, so I apologize for the pictures.

This week Suzanne challenged us to amke a Triangular Fold Card. I have wanted to make one of these for a long time, but for some reason or another I kept putting it off. It was so much fun. The stamp really fit in well with the papers and was fun to color. It is heat embossed and colored with Copics. There is a little shimmerez on the butterfly wings and socks, crystal effects on the grass and grasshopper, and then stickles added for the final touch. You can click on any of the pictures and enlarge them for viewing.
If you would like to know how to make this card it is on the Scor-Pal's site. I have changed it a little to make my card 5/12" square. Also, each triangle piece is stitched. The little red flowers are heat embossed and colored with Copics.

This is just another picture to show the folding.

Don't forget to check out the Follow Your Heart blog to see the other DT samples. They are amazing.

BE SURE AND CHECK OUT SUSANA'S CUSTOM ART AND CARD DESIGN FOR A NEW PRODUCT - INSPIRATION PAINT.

Thank you for stopping by. If you wish, please leave me a comment. Also, keep checking back - I will be having another blog candy the first couple of weeks in October.

TEA TIME

I'm sure you have heard the story before that my granddaughter loves to have tea parties. She moved to Alabama a couple of months ago and I really miss her. I got this stamp to make her a card and send to her later - later is now here. I made this card a while back, but did not have a chance to post it until now. It is an Elisabeth Bell for SCACD called Dolly. Isn't it cute? The childhood days of pretending do still exist. My granddaughter lines up her dolls and her stuffed animals for a tea party.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamps - Sew, sew, sew

My Time to Craft - Polka Dot Party

Cute Card Thursday - Strawberry Mint Julep - Use the colors pink and green

Kaboodle Doodles - Use a charm

The image is heat embossed and colored with Copics. It is really hard to capture all the details in a picture. The bonnets, tea cups, teapot, and napkin in the basket are glossed. There is only a little stickles on her shirt and apron, the dolls dress, flowers and tea cups and teapot. The two taller plants have flower soft. If you haven't tried the flower soft you don't know what you are missing. Susana has in the new colors - Autumn and Polar White. The rose is not as dark as the picture show and it also has a little stickles. I colored the charm with Copics. The border edge of the dp is punched with a MS punch and flatback half pearls added. The dp is CTMH.
For the inside, I cut the teacup with my Cricut and colored the rim with Copics.

Check our Susana's Custom Art and Card Design for more of the Elisabeth Bell images exclusive line for SCACD.

Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

CATCH THE FALLING LEAVES - TIOT #35

This week Suzanne challenged us with a sketch. It was a wonderful sketch to work with. This is Autumn, another release from the Victoria Case Hearts and Hugs Collections - Series #2 for SCACD. I love these images. Their faces and smile bring a smile to my face.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Sew, sew, sew

Paper Blooms Challenge - Bling

Lili of the Valley Challenge - Use colors green, brown and orange

I chose the new CTMH paper DP for this card It worked so well with the image. Autumn is heat embossed and colored with Copics. The leaves have crystal effects to give them a shine. Couldn't do without the stickles (hehe), it is applied to her hat, scarf, the edges of her sweater, and the pom pom on her boots. I did cut out two extra leaves and put one in her hand and one on the sentiment. The metal hardware on the sentiment is also CTMH. The buttons are from my stash and then I added the glitter dots. Isn't this leaf ribbon cool? I also bought some in green and gold.
The paper is so pretty I didn't have to do much to the inside.
Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment.
Don't forget to go to the Follow Your Heart blog and check out the other DT samples.
Also, check out Susana's store - she has some really good stuff that we can all us. SCACD is now carrying a new product called Inspirations Paint. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but I believe it is supposed to have more shimmer than shimmerez.

MATTHEW and HIS TOYS

Isn't this little boy handsome? Remember I told you there was a little boy in the new Victoria Case Hugs and Hearts Collection #2 for SCACD. Well, meet Matthew.
I have to be honest, I have a difficult time making male cards. I can't use flowers and stickles. (wiping the tears away). Now to the details. Matthew is heat embossed and colored with Copics. His eyes and all the dinosaurs have crystal effects applied to them for shine. The thread on the ribbon was not the right color so I also colored it with Copics. The sentiment "Hi" is stamped with stazon on the gold metal ribbon slider. After going through my stash of embellishments, I came across the two red polka dotted brads and thought that's it - punched two 3/4" circles, inserted the brads and came as close to flowers as I could (hehe).
The sketch for the card is from the Fridays Sketchers . I am also entering this card in the Allsorts Challenge - Just for Boys

The inside is simple, just added a few circles and some stitching.
Thank you for viewing my card. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Just a reminder SCACD is having a huge 30% off sale on Shimmerez.

BIG OLE HOWDY

Taylor says a big ole Texas HOWDY !! This is another adorable stamp from Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Collections #2. Isn't she cute? Being a true Texan, I have so many ideas for her. I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Stitching

Whimsy Stamps - Touch Feely - add texture

Creative Inspirations - Wednesday - Friendship

The week for TIOT #34, the challenge was to make a project without using DP and add a charm. For the background I used blue Co-ordinations cardstock, embossed it using the cuttlebug and sponged it with chocolate ink from CTMH. The burlap is some I had laying around, as well, as the twine and charm. Red co-ordinations was used to back Taylor, stamped stars and heat embossed with rustic and embossed using the cuttlebug. I used Chocolate cardstock from CTMH to back Taylor. I used the CTMH cardstock because it is white core. I sanded all the paper. Taylor is stamped and heat embossed, colored with copis and just a little stickles added to her shirt, hat and boots. Her belt buckle is colored with a silver metallic pen. Her eyes and mouth are glazed to brighten her beautiful smile.
Same techniques were used for the inside. The Texas stamp was embossed using two different color powders.

Be sure to check the other DT samples at Follow Your Heart.

You can get this image and the other from the collection at SCACD.

SALE - SALE - Susana's Custom Art and Card Design is having a 30% off sale right now on Shimmerez.
