SHE'S BACK BETTER THAN EVER

Good Morning! I hope you are having fun hopping around. You should have arrived here from the very talented Carolyn's blog and you should have started at the fabulous Elaine's blog. Are you excited about the new AURORA COLLECTION 2 BY VICTORIA CASE FOR SCACD. This is one of the cutest stamp sets ever. This image is "Bee Mine. These stamps are also available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie.


This card is bright and cheerful to match Aurora's personality. She is colored with Copics and accented with Viva Decor. I used the Viva Glitter Gel Pen to accent the bee's wings and the butterfly in her hair. The wings were first painted with Shimmerz and then I used the Glitter Pen. The pearls around the frame and on the borders were made using the Viva Pearl Pen - Ice White. The papers, ribbon, and flowers are from my stash. The cute little bows were made using my favorite tool, the Bow Easy.

LOVE YA - TIOT #78

Good Morning!! Don't you just love little animal stamp? This is one of my favorite stamps. I would take home all the little dogs and cats if I could. This image is "A PUPPY IS LOVE" from the Victoria Case Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection.

The challenge for the DT this week was to create a project using an animal stamp. I may have cheated a little using this one, but it is so darn cute. The image is colored with Copics and I used a little VIVA 3D glitter gel on her shoes - a girl has to have a little glitz. Did you notice the mesh used on the background behind the image? I thought it added a little different look. The DP has a lot of texture and glitter. It is from the Kitchen paper pack. I know the little turquoise embellishments are flower centers, but they are pretty enough to stand alone. The wire ribbon bow was made with my Bow Easy and the card was finished off with a sentiment accented with a dog bone clip.

For my card I chose this cute little cowgirl "Howdy" from the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5 and she is also available at Quixotic Paperie.
She is colored with Copics and accented with a little VIVA Glitter Gel. The two red buttons are from my stash that I sanded, then I punched some dp and added a little pearl with my VIVA GLITTER PEN. I used the same pen for the outline around the background of the stamp and the paper embellishment. The border was made using my MS punch and then I added some pearls with the VIVA PEARL PEN - GOLD. These pens are so versatile. I am still learning how to use them, but there are some great videos here on the store. They are really really easy I just haven't had much time with vacations, etc. to play with them. To finish off my card I added a little gold cowboy hat and bows made with the Bow Easy. The VIVA PRODUCTS are available at both SCACD and QUIXOTIC PAPERIE.

TIOT #77 - SKETCH CHALLENGE

GOOD MORNING! Did you guys have a great weekend? It was extremely hot here in Texas, but it is after all July. Isn't this image just the sweetest? It is called "Go Green" from the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5 for SCACD.

The beautiful paper I used this week is Memory Box - Gossamer . There are so many gorgeous papers in this pack. Susana has this in stock in the store. The DT had a sketch to follow this week and this is my take on it. The image is colored with Copics and cut out and popped up. To add a little glitz I added some Viva Decor Glitter Gel. I used Raspberry Fizz Ultrafine Flower Soft on the flowers she is carrying to give them a realistic look. Isn't the ribbon gorgeous? Unfortunately, I have no idea where I got it. It was some I have had in my stash forever. To finish it off I used Kaisercraft Pearls.

CAROUSEL DREAMS

Good Morning !! Hope all of you are having a marvelous summer. It is really getting hot here in Texas. It is that time of year for carnivals and fairs. This image is "Carousel Dreams" from the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5.

WOW! The DT was challenged this week to keep it clean and simple with one pop of color (image could be multi colored). This was difficult for me since I like lots of color. Finally, I decided on an embossed background and colored the little flowers with Copics and added little pearls with Viva Ice White Pearl Pen. The image is colored with Copics and I used a couple of Spica Glitter Pens for accent. The little pearl inside the punched flower is also made with Viva Ice White Pearl Pen. I just had to add a little more color so I used Kaisercraft Lavender Pearls in two of the corners of the image. I sprayed the entire card with Maya Mist Iridescent Pearl. The close up pic at the top of the blog shows how subtle the sparkle is. It really gives it a nice sheen.

REACH FOR THE STARS

Good Morning !! Hope all of you had a wonderful July 4th Holiday. Isn't this just the sweetest image? It is "Wish Upon A Star" from the Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5 for SCACD. I think it is so sweet and reminds me of so many nursery rhymes.

The DT was challenged this week to create a patchwork quilt background with real or faux stitching. Since I only sew on cards I had no idea how to make a quilt so this is what I came up with. It kinda looks like a patchwork quilt. I colored the image with Copics and then I sprayed the entire image and background with this FABULOUS product I have never tried before - MAYA MISTS - IRIDESCENT PEARL. This stuff has the most subtle and beautiful shine. After I sprayer it over the image I added a little Stickles to the stars and to her bow and onsie and to the moon's cheek. For the wonderful bow I used my favorite tool - the Bow Easy. To finish it off I added some pearls. The DP is CTMH - Caboodles.
