HAPPY FRIDAY !!!!

Today is going to be a fun day hopping. Susana Loves Stamps is presenting the EYES OF DREAMS and the EYES OF BEAUTY COLLECTIONS.

You should have arrived here from Sandie's blog. Her work is just amazing.

I would like to introduce you to ANGEL EYES from the EYES OF BEAUTY COLLECTION. I just love the little heart on her face.

When I sit down to color her I thought of so many different ways then decided on Red, White and Blue. By using these colors I can use the card for Birthday, Just Because, Memorial Day, July 4th, or whatever the occasion calls for.

The beautiful background paper is AUTHENTIQUE - GENUINE . The red hearts were cut using the MEMORY BOX - TWIRLED HEART BORDER. Then instead of using leaves I used the MEMORY BOX - ELEGANT SCROLLWORK for a different look. By the way, SUSANA has in all the new MEMORY BOX DIES. The flower between the two red ones is actually a pretty denim blue but the camera wouldn't pick it up any lighter. I applied some STICKLES on her belt and wings. To make her shirt sparkly (but not too much) I used A very light coat of DECOART GLAMOUR DUST - CRYSTAL. This paint is wonderful and if you use one coat it is really sparkly, but you can another coat and it gets even more sparkly. To finish it off I used some ribbon and hearts from my stash. Good Morning !!

Today I am presenting to you - SEA CLIFF EYES from the EYES OF DREAMS COLLECTION. If you have missed the sneak peeks this week, please go back to the store blog and see them. The eyes are amazing on these stamps.


I tried something a little different on this card and it did not turn out as well as I had wanted. She is supposed to be standing on sand, seaweed, and shells. In real life it is pretty. I used Flower Soft for the sand and added some glitter. My daughter and family are getting transferred to Hawaii this summer so guess what is on my mind? When I started coloring her that is what I was thinking - beach, sand, etc.

FRIENDSHIP TIES

Good Morning! Spring is here - YAY!!!! I love spring and fall weather, but here in Central Texas my allergies are off the chart. It seems like I am always looking through water because my eyes constantly itch and run. Did everyone have a wonderful weekend? We planted some colorful flowers and worked in the yard. I am sooooo sore today - didn't realize I am so out of shape.

Okay, enough wishing . Isn't this just a darling image? "FRIENDSHIP TIES" is from THE NEW ADVENTURES OF LOLI AND POPPY by Sylvia Zet for SCACD.
This beautiful DP is MY MINDS EYE - MISS CAROLINE - DOLLED UP. These papers have some of my favorite colors. The image is colored with Copics and highlighted with STICKLES.
To finish off the card I used some MS punches for the butterflies and accented with KAISERCRAFT PEARLS.
Bet you're wondering why I took a closeup of the butterfly. I sprayed some GOOSEBUMPS on it and I was trying to capture the texture and dimension it gave the butterfly. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them and maybe see it better.

YOU'RE THE CAT'S MEOW

Good Morning! It's Friday !! I always look forward to the weekend so I can craft. Today I am showing you a "KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMP - BELLA". I have a granddaughter that loves cats so I made this card special for her. SCACD has all the new KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS
in stock. There are some really cute ones!! Oh, the sentiment comes with the stamp.

This card gave me a chance to use two of my new MEMORY BOX DIES - TWIRLED HEART BORDER and SERAFINA HEART. After cutting them out I applied some STICKLES for a little extra sparkle.

I want to tell you about some wonderful new products SUSANA is now carrying. They are the LUMINARTE SILK ACRYLIC GLAZE AND LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT MICAS. In this picture I was trying to capture the BEAUTIFUL sparkle of the LUMINARTE SILK ACRYLIC GLAZE. I was shocked at how much shimmer these have and how simple they are to use. You know me, I love lots and lots of shimmer and sparkle. They are definitely going to be on my next order. There are so many beautiful colors. I had already sponged some ink on the background, it was originally white, before I thought about the glaze. It has such a beautiful sparkle and this picture really doesn't do it justice. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them and you can getter a better view.

In this picture I used the same glaze - STARGAZER - on white cardstock. SUSANA has all the LUMINARTE SILK ACRYLIC GLAZES and the LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT MICAS in stock. Also, Marti Wills has two wonderful videos showing the different ways to use these. Even if you have used Mica before, Marti has a few tips and techniques you may not have tried. Be sure and them out here.
