WELCOME TO MY BLOG!!!

This is my first posting so please become a follower and check back frequently. My site is still under construction and needs a little tweaking, let me know what you think.I chose this card as my first one to post because it has a very special meaning. Some fellow card makers and I watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjyb0t5Jm44 and we each made different cards to try and capture the love between the Tara (elephant) and Bella (dog). If you have time, please watch the video all the way to the end.

The elephant and dog stamp used on this card are from Alota Rubberstamps. When I placed my order, Helene was so very helpful. The palm tree stamp is a High Hope stamps. Tina is very helpful when placing orders. I used alot of different techniques on this card. I masked the tree, dog and elephant to sponge the background. I used Close to My Heart paper and ink. After the tree was colored with Copics, I embossed the leaves to give it a shiny realistic look.

The elephant and the dog are cut and popped up. I cut a small slit to place the roses and the bone and tied them with a small shiny silver ribbon.

I use nestabilities alot. The tree image here was also cut and embossed and only popped up a little.

These are the inks and Copic markers I used for the coloring.
