CUTE AND DAINTY

Get your glasses on for this one. It is a little busy.

Look at this dainty little snail sitting on a tree stump looking all pretty. This layout is one from Sketch Saturday. It was another fun one. I entered it into the Charisma Cardz Thursday Craft Challenge - Going Dotty. All the little rhinestones and the dotted background paper are considered dots. I also entered it in the Cute Card Thursday challenge - Bit O' Bling. It is also being entered in the Creative Inspirations Challenge and Daring Cardmakers.

The image is two stamps from Whiff of Joy. I masked the snail, then stamped the tree stump. The snail was cut out a second time and popped her up to give a 3D effect. All of the images are colored with Prismas. They seemed to blend better for the look I was trying to achieve.
I carried the snail through to the inside of the card. The only difference between this one and the one on front is that I airbrushed the background.
Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

WHAT A SWEET GARDEN ANGEL

Isn't this angel stamp sweet? She is so peaceful. She looks over the garden and protects all the little animals. I loooove the Close To My Heart paper. I will be giving away a Special Paper Package, which will include this paper, in my next candy giveaway which will be soon. So, please continue to watch my blog.

This layout was so much fun to work with. It is from Friday Sketchers. You should check them out. I was also able to enter this card into the ABC Challenge - P is for pearls and The Creative Crew Challenge - Pretty Flowers. The angel was colored with Copics and her wings were painted with Shimmerz. The last couple of cards I made had lots of bling, but using this paper, this one really didn't need any.

The diamond shape, oval shape, and angel are popped up just a little.

As you can see, the inside really does not need much at all. This paper is absolutely gorgeous so it can stand alone. the sentiment and flower flourish are stamped with CTMH ink and heat embossed.

Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

HELLO....................

This has become one of my favorite images. It is a Stampavie stamp - Giving Shelter. I colored it with Copics and CTMH ink. This is my first time to enter Sketch Saturday. It was a fun layout to do. I also entered the Cafe Mofo bling challenge. As you can see I used punches and the same image for the inside and added raindrops and bling. The shell of the little snail is glossy. I used Crystal Effects. The embellishments may be a little too much, but overall I think it turned out colorful and cute.

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

Little Miss Sunshine loves to spread her joy and happiness. She is just so cute and always so cheerful !! Needless, to say she loves the color pink and lots and lots of bling. She is a Whiff of Joy stamp - Willow with flower basket.

The image is heat embossed and colored with Copics and watercolors. Her hair is highligted with a little shimmerz, and of course, there has to be a little stickles. The sentiments were stamped with CTMH ink and heat embossed. I popped her up to give the card a little more dimension.

I made the inside as detailed as the front of the card. The picture does not show the pink background paper very well, but it has glitter on it. I used punches and nestabilities to finish it up.

Thank you for looking and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
I am sorry, but I accidentally deleted the first post and the comments.

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED

Summer has already arrived here in Texas and the roses are in full bloom. They are beautiful!! All the little animals are out and about, running and playing. There was a rabbit in my yard one morning, and it got my creative mojo working. This SU stamp was perfect. The next big job was finding the right paper. Found it!!!! This beautiful paper is CTMH. The mulberry roses were just what was needed to finish it. The image was painted with Copics and then the stamped imaged was heat embossed.
The inside looked a little plain so stitching was added to bring out the roses on the paper. The background of the corners and image were painted with celery and lilac shimmerz.

Thank you for looking and please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Stamp: Stampin Up

A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER'S DAY CARD

It has been awhile since I updated by blog. After having pneumonia and getting behind in my card making, I had time to reflect on all the new ideas and techniqus I want to try. I will be posting more frequently so please come back and visit often.

This is a card I made for my mother for Mother's Day. It is not my usual style, but I do like the way it turned out. What do you think? She will be 80 in July and I think this style will please her.

There is a lot of detail on this card. I used punches, that I have had forever but don't use much. I will definitely start using them more after seeing how much they add to the card. I finished off the card by adding ribbon and a heart charm.

You can click on the picture to get a close up.

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

The stamp is Romantic Rose by Stampin Up. I stamped it in gold and embossed it with gold glitter and colored it with copics.
I popped the rose up twice to give it dimension.

The inside of the card turned out better than I thought it would. I used nestabilities and punches.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this card and would love to hear from you.
