CUTTING EDGE RELEASE

NO BOUNDARIES WOMAN

Happy Friday! (YAY) What better way to start if off than with a Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from the so creative  ELAINE'S blog.

Here at SCACD we've been "die"ing to mix things up! So, this month we have the launch of two awesome new Collections.

First is a fantastic new line of dies. Susana has collaborated on a collection of dies with a timeless, classic feel. Delicate and beautiful, the diecuts from these high quality wafer thin metal dies will be featuring on your projects for years to come!
Second is a wonderful new direction for SCACD. Susana is following her heart with a new line of Mixed Media stamps. For those of you who are new to the concept, Mixed Media is a style that embraces creativity and experimentation. Let SCACD take you on a new creative adventure with the Blank Canvas Collection.  From the beginner to the mixed media enthusiast, these stamps will have the creative juices well and truly flowing!

Each set in the collection comprises looks, perfect for mixing it up with different techniques. Use the elements set to enhance the blank canvas silhouettes, or use them on their own for gorgeous effects.

In addition there is a fabulous set of word outlines, ready to be customized however you like! Color them in, doodle, zentangle, paper piece - go wherever your creativity takes you.

I can't wait for the weekend so I can play some more with the new BLANK CANVAS COLLECTION BY SCACD

For the background I used the new DYLUSION INK SPRAYS.  I cannot even begin to tell you how vivid they are and how easy to use.    The  image is NO BOUNDARIES WOMAN.  I love that name.

If you look closely at the background you can see some trees.  The technique I used for the background is ghosting and I used the   CRAFTERS WORKSHOP STENCIL - ASPEN TREES designed by Victoria Case.

The  RAYS from the element  at the top were colored using the DYLUSION INK SPRAY - LEMON ZEST with a little LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT - LEMONDROP  mixed with it which gives it a nice sparkly shiny glow.  The background was made using DYLUSION INK SPRAY - LEMON ZEST - BUBBLEGUM PINK - CRUSHED GRAPE - CUT GRASS - PURE SUNSHINE

Did you notice the leaves at the bottom?  These were made using the SOLID WINGS stamp, I quickly realized you need the entire set because there are so many different ways to use them.

The sentiment is  a freebie if you buy the entire woman set from the BLANK CANVAS WOMAN COLLECTION BY SCACD and the word faith is my doodling.

Just another picture from a different angle to show the trees in the background.  I really enjoyed making this bookmark.  I will be doing more if you would like to check back.

Today I am presenting two dies from the DIES BY SCACD. The first one is this beautiful  BUTTERFLY VASE.   I cut it out and backed it with brown cardstock.  The vase is highlighted with LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT - SOLAR GOLD and APPLE BLOSSOM.   I use a lot of various company dies and I have to tell you, even with all the intricate details this vase cuts beautifully without any extra trouble. KWIM

The next die is this beautiful corner die.  It is from the GARDEN CORNERS SET.  It is just the right size for a corner.  It does not take up a lot of space on your design paper which is really really nice.  Again it cuts beautifully.

For the corner die I used a couple of different products. After I cut it out I embossed with distressing embossing powder and then applied LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT - SOLAR GOLD, APPLE BLOSSOM, and TEAL ZIRCON.

Isn't this blog hop fun? It is so unique and everyone has a different style. Now, please continue on to ALEX'S  blog to see more wonderful creativity.  She is amazing!

These stamps and dies  can now be purchased from SCACD.  For our  international friends you please check out QUIXOTIC PAPERIE  for the stamps HERE and  now also Dies by SCACD HERE.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!

HUGS,

The vase is fabulous with the micas on it. What a wonderful idea and gives it a great aged metal look.
