KEY TO MY HEART

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!

I just got back home from visiting my daughter and grandkids in TN.  It was a nice relaxing week and always fun to see the kids.  My granddaughter called me a couple of weeks ago and wanted to know if I could come see them and stay a couple of days and go to grandparents day with her.  It not only made her happy, but made me feel really really happy that she wanted me to go to her school and meet her teacher and friends.

The project I am sharing today is a canvas.  I have been wanting to try one with all the tissue paper, paint, embellishments, etc.  It was really fun creating it and just trying different products.  I will say it took me a long time to do it, but I think that was because I had not ever tried to do one before now.

It started out as a white 5 x 7 canvas.  Then I applied black gesso and let it dry.  The key tissue paper was sent to me by a very very dear friend and I have been wanting to use it for a long time.  The image KEY TO MY HEART  is just perfect with it.  The metal gears are Idea-Ology Mini Metal Gears.  They are on sale - 20% off at SCACD.  Also, in the store are some beautiful canvas birds - Prima Resist Canvas - BirdsThe chain, keys, and flowers and from my stash.

Did you notice the beautiful key corner die  in the upper left corner?  This die comes in a package with another die - Dies by SCACD - Fancy FLower and Key Corners.  I love using dies and even though these are detailed they cut the first time.

This is just another picture to show up close the chipboard bird cage.  There is a product called glass bead gel and I mixed it with acrylic paint and love the texture.   Remember you can click on any of the photos and they will enlarge.  If you have time let me know what you think of my first real canvas !!

Have a wonderful weekend!

HUGS,
