FUN and FRESH NEW RELEASES

Good Morning!

Hope all of you had a wonderful week.  Here in Texas we are frying.  It is only June and we have already had a week of 105-111 temperatures.  (ugh)
We will bring a smile to your face today as you join us in our Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from  ELAINE'S  blog.  Weren't her projects fun?

Today  SCACD  releases TWO  fun and fresh stamps from the  SUSANA LOVES STAMPS COLLECTIONS !!!  Also being introduced  is a fun little set of Mixed Media houses called  M's PLACE  for those that love cute in their Mixed Media.

We start off with the  ODDLY SWEET CURIOSITIES SET  which harbors the cutest little Curiosities with matching sentiments.

I am introducing  SOME DAYS.  By the way, the sentiment I used is not the one that comes with this image.  It comes with the  THOSE DAYS   image.

After stamping the image I used TH Distress Crackle on his body.  I like the effect it gave the fish.  The fins are painted with  LUMINARTE SILK ACYRLIC GLAZE - KEY LIME.    The eyes and lips have been finished off with Glossy Accents.

The second set being released today is  THE LITTLE SASSY CREW.

These little ladies are so fun.  My grandchildren are here visiting me and when I was coloring  LITTLE MORTICIA  the 5 year old said "that looks like me when I get mad."  I just love this image because it does remind me of her.
Little Morticia  is colored with  COPICS  and for a little different twist I added some gloss to her hair.  To finish it off I added a little  STICKLES.

Now for some more fun hop on over to  ALEX'S  blog.  She will definitely have a stunning project for you.
The stamps are available for purchase today from  SCACD  and for my international friends they can be purchased from  QUIXOTIC PAPERIE.

TRANQUILITY

Good Morning!  It is a hot sunny day here in Texas, but I am having sooooo much fun with the grandchildren.  It seems like we are always on the go and swimming.   They are working on a tan before moving to Hawaii.

This versatile image is SOLID BLANK CANVAS WOMAN from the MIXED MEDIA BLANK CANVAS COLLCTION by SUSANA LOVES STAMPS.    I gave her a necklace with a pearl and a flower with a pearl at her waistline.  The dress is covered with Stickles - Rock Hard Candy.  The butterfly is MEMORY BOX DIE - VIVIENNE BUTTERFLY.

She is standing on an oval same as background.  I used a SIZZIX DIFFUSER to  accomplish this look.  The package has three different shapes.   They are soooooo easy to use.  The frame is embossed and I used DYLUSION INK SPRAYS - Pure Sunshine-Lemon Zest - Cut Grass-Crushed Grape-Postbox Red  and sanded the raised areas just a little for a few highlights.

Shopping Alert:  SUSANA has some new MEMORY BOX DIES in stock.  While you are shopping be sure and check out the GORGEOUS new DIES BY SCACD.

Hope all of you have a wonderful week!

TICK TOCK - TICK TOCK

Happy Monday !  Hope all of you are having a good day to start off the week.  Can you believe it is already June 10th?  Where does the time go?

Today I wanted to share with you a new journal page I have  created. The STEAMPUNK CLOCK  is from SUSANA LOVES STAMPS MIXED MEDIA BLANK CANVAS COLLECTION.   Using the same stamp I created the background with the rolllling technique.  The rolling technique is done using the stamp not on a block, inking it and rolling it on the paper wherever you want it to be.  This set is so much fun to play with because it is so versatile.    Did you know she carries some of the TIM HOLTZ DIES and PRODUCTS including the IDEA-OLOGY METAL GEARS  I used on my page?  Check out the STORE.  She even has her own set of DIES - DIES BY SCACD.

The background for my page was made using the DYLUSIONS INK SPRAYS - LEMON ZEST - POSTBOX RED - PURE SUNSHINE - MELTED CHOCOLATE.  Also used was the DYLUSIONS STENCIL - NUMBER JUMBLE.

I hope I given you the inspiration to try some Mixed Media projects.  All the inks, sprays, stencils, and paints are so much fun to use and if you mess up just cover it up and keeping going.  That's the best part about it - there are no rules - it is all in the eyes of the beholder and it expresses some of your own personality and thoughts.  SUSANA has in some new CRAFTY INDIVIDUALS stamps that are just perfect for mixed media projects or all by themselves.  Be sure and check them out.  She also has in the new GORGUSS GIRLS stamps.

Have a wonderful week!

CUTTING EDGE RELEASE

NO BOUNDARIES WOMAN

Happy Friday! (YAY) What better way to start if off than with a Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from the so creative  ELAINE'S blog.

Here at SCACD we've been "die"ing to mix things up! So, this month we have the launch of two awesome new Collections.

First is a fantastic new line of dies. Susana has collaborated on a collection of dies with a timeless, classic feel. Delicate and beautiful, the diecuts from these high quality wafer thin metal dies will be featuring on your projects for years to come!
Second is a wonderful new direction for SCACD. Susana is following her heart with a new line of Mixed Media stamps. For those of you who are new to the concept, Mixed Media is a style that embraces creativity and experimentation. Let SCACD take you on a new creative adventure with the Blank Canvas Collection.  From the beginner to the mixed media enthusiast, these stamps will have the creative juices well and truly flowing!

Each set in the collection comprises looks, perfect for mixing it up with different techniques. Use the elements set to enhance the blank canvas silhouettes, or use them on their own for gorgeous effects.

In addition there is a fabulous set of word outlines, ready to be customized however you like! Color them in, doodle, zentangle, paper piece - go wherever your creativity takes you.

I can't wait for the weekend so I can play some more with the new BLANK CANVAS COLLECTION BY SCACD

For the background I used the new DYLUSION INK SPRAYS.  I cannot even begin to tell you how vivid they are and how easy to use.    The  image is NO BOUNDARIES WOMAN.  I love that name.

If you look closely at the background you can see some trees.  The technique I used for the background is ghosting and I used the   CRAFTERS WORKSHOP STENCIL - ASPEN TREES designed by Victoria Case.

The  RAYS from the element  at the top were colored using the DYLUSION INK SPRAY - LEMON ZEST with a little LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT - LEMONDROP  mixed with it which gives it a nice sparkly shiny glow.  The background was made using DYLUSION INK SPRAY - LEMON ZEST - BUBBLEGUM PINK - CRUSHED GRAPE - CUT GRASS - PURE SUNSHINE

Did you notice the leaves at the bottom?  These were made using the SOLID WINGS stamp, I quickly realized you need the entire set because there are so many different ways to use them.

The sentiment is  a freebie if you buy the entire woman set from the BLANK CANVAS WOMAN COLLECTION BY SCACD and the word faith is my doodling.

Just another picture from a different angle to show the trees in the background.  I really enjoyed making this bookmark.  I will be doing more if you would like to check back.

Today I am presenting two dies from the DIES BY SCACD. The first one is this beautiful  BUTTERFLY VASE.   I cut it out and backed it with brown cardstock.  The vase is highlighted with LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT - SOLAR GOLD and APPLE BLOSSOM.   I use a lot of various company dies and I have to tell you, even with all the intricate details this vase cuts beautifully without any extra trouble. KWIM

The next die is this beautiful corner die.  It is from the GARDEN CORNERS SET.  It is just the right size for a corner.  It does not take up a lot of space on your design paper which is really really nice.  Again it cuts beautifully.

For the corner die I used a couple of different products. After I cut it out I embossed with distressing embossing powder and then applied LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENT - SOLAR GOLD, APPLE BLOSSOM, and TEAL ZIRCON.

Isn't this blog hop fun? It is so unique and everyone has a different style. Now, please continue on to ALEX'S  blog to see more wonderful creativity.  She is amazing!

These stamps and dies  can now be purchased from SCACD.  For our  international friends you please check out QUIXOTIC PAPERIE  for the stamps HERE and  now also Dies by SCACD HERE.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!

BLACK AND WHITE with a TOUCH OF RED

Happy Friday!  Is everyone ready for a long Memorial Day Weekend?  I know I am.  I have lots and lots of new products I want to play with.  It's time for me to venture out and get down and dirty with products and techniques you will see next week. (heehee)

Now to today's card.  This precious image is SENDING LOVE ANGEL by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.    I have always wanted to do a black and white image with a touch of red so this is the one.  It's different for me because I loooove color.  She is colored with different shades of  COPICS  gray and highlighted with CHRISTMAS RED STICKLES.  After I made the card I realized there are so many different occasions I can use it for.
When you have time be sure and check around the storeSUSANA  has in all the newest and latest products and receives more and more every week.

Wishing all of you a FUN and SAFE WEEKEND!!

BOO BOO TAG

Good Morning !!  It's the end of another week and time for some fun.  (YAY)

Today I am going to show you a tag I made.  Getting down and dirty is out of my comfort zone, but I am pleased with the way this turned out.   I started with a blank  INKSENTIALS CRAFT TAG -#8  and embossed it with the  CUTTLEBUG EMBOSSING FOLDER - MARY ANN which  SUSANA happens to have on sale right now.  This is where it will get hard for me to explain.  I used  LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENTS MICA POWDERS  in the following colors and just sponged them on until I got the color mixture I wanted.  I have to admit getting down and dirty was really really really lots of  fun.  The colors I used are TEAL ZIRCONAPPLE BLOSSOMSTARGAZERBOUGAINVILLEA, and SOLAR GOLD.  I mixed my powder with some gum arabic and just sponged away.  Talking about it makes me want to start another one.

I chose the BOO BOO PEEKER  from the  SWEET SUMMER PEEKERS  because I figure with 4 of my grandchildren here for 6 weeks this summer I would be able to use it.  I can attach it to some ice cream or cookies.

SHOPPING ALERT:  SUSANA has some more fun things to play with.

New Authentique Fresh, Bo Bunny, My Minds Eye, Simple Stories and more
New Tim Holtz Book Cover Embossing Folders

FAMILY PEEKER

Happy Friday to all my friends!  Did all of you have a fabulous week?  Mine was so so - can't complain.  This image is kinda special to me, it is the FAMILY PEEKER from the SWEET HOME PEEKERS by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  Since both of my son in laws are in the Army , my children keep photos around so the grandchildren can look at them.  We try to get together at least once a year, but now with the younger one being transferred to Hawaii for 3 years that will be impossible.  She has 4 children and it would cost her a fortune to fly back to Texas for a visit.

The image is colored with COPICS.  Her skirt is paper pieced and I shadowed it COPICS and then applied STICKLES.  The lovely pink slippers also has a little STICKLES.  Did you notice the picture frame?  I applied the LUMINARTE PRIMARY ELEMENTS - SOLAR GOLD.  The Primary Elements are absolutely gorgeous.  If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can see how awesome it is.  The embellishments and lace are from my stash.    I will be showing you a tag I am working on next week.  The background is really awesome.

All of you have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you back here next Friday.

I would like to tell all my followers how much I appreciate you coming by and leaving me comments.  Some days when I don't feel up to par,  I can read your comments and they lift me up and give me so much inspiration.  so  THANK YOU!!!!
