SWEET SUSY

This is another new release from Victoria Case "Hearts and Hugs Collections #2" exclusively for SCACD. Everytime I ink one of the images I think this is my favorite, but they are all so cute I don't know which is my favorite. I can say this, these stamps are etched wonderfully, they are so easy to stamp and get all the detail the first time. Now, on to Susy (isn't she sweet). This card can be used for various occasions. I decided I would give it to one of my granddaughters with a Build a Bear gift card in the inside pocket.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I am also entering this card in the following challenges.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Touch of Sparkle

One Stop Craft Challenge - Something cuddly

Susy is stamped, heat embossed and colored with Copics. The DP was part of my stash. The white background was run through my Cuttlebug and then I put ribbon on top of it. The flowers have a little shimmerez on them just to give them a little shine and finished off with spacers and pearl brads. The charm says "made for an angel". Crystal Effects was used on Susy's eyes so they would shine. Of course, stickles was added to her ponytail holders, top, the hearts on her pants and her shoes. It is so hard to get a good pic to show the stickles without it being overpowering.

The charm says "made for an angel" on one side and the other side is an angel.

I did the same thing on the inside with the white accents and added ribbon and rhinestones. There is a double pocket on bottom.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look. If you have time, please leave me a comment.

TIOT #33

This week Suzanne challenged us to create a notepad or book cover. I decided on a notepad. Jump on over to Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along and see what the other Design Team Members have created. I am entering this in the Simon Says Challenge and the ABC Challenge and the Paperplay Challenge.

The notepad was covered with paper from my stash. The edge was first covered with a fake fur border and then rhinestones were added.

The stamp is a Pink Cat Studio from SCACD. I colored it with Copics and accented with Stickles.
I glazed her eyes and leaves with Crystal Effects.

I cut the letters out and backed in pink. I used A Spica Glitter Pen to add some glitz to to the letters. Can never get enough glitz and bling for girls (hehe). The flowers and large gem are from my stash.
Don't forget to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along and to see what the other Design Team Members have created.

Thank you for taking the time to take a look. If you can please leave me a short comment on how I am doing.

VICTORIA CASE NEW RELEASE - JAMI

How cute is this stamp? Does it bring back memories of when you got your first puppy? As most of you know, I am a huge animal lover so I fell in love with this stamp. Not only does Jami have a happy smile on her face, but the puppy is showering her with kisses.I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

2Red Bananas Challenge - inspiration from a picture. I saw fall colors.

Stamptacular Sunday - create a 3-D card.

Cute Card Thursday - New Beginnings

Creative Inspirations - Stitching. I have lots of it.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Add a little sparkle. Always

Creative Inspriations Wednesday - Friendship. This is the best kind of friendship.

Jami is heat embossed and colored with Copics and Prismas. The puppy is popped up for added dimension. I accented with Stickles on Jami's jeans, ponytail holder, and the puppy's collar. The flowers are from my stash and also accented with Stickles.

There are a lot of layers on this card and each layer is stitched.

The inside of the card is stitched. The top inside little square is stitched. The hearts were cut from my nesties. I am sure most of you have see The Pet Stack. The paper is embossed and glossy.

This is only 1 stamp from the new Victoria Case exclusive for SCACD. Check out the store and see the others, they are so cute. You will absolutely love them.

Thank you for looking and if you have time, please leave me a comment.

The new VC Hearts and Collections #2 has some of the cutest little girls and believe it or not even a little boy named Matthew. You have to check them out.

I made this card using the sketch from Everybody Art Challenge.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

Stamp Something Challenge is having a birthday challenge honoring a special little boy.

ABC Challenge - Circles

Milla is heat embossed and colored with Copics. I used a glaze pen on her shoes. The bows on her dress, headband and the ribbon on the present has just a little stickles. I painted just a little shimmerez on the flowers. The paper and ribbon are from my stash and I used a MS punch on the blue background.

The inside didn't need much since the paper is so busy. I did add a layer of Happy Birthday paper punched with the MS punch on the top.

Maggie on the Farm

Today is the release of Digital Delights new digis. These are 3 of the images, Maggie farmgirl, Sugar the sheep, and Charlie the cow. Go over to Digital Delights and check the others out. They are all so cute !! Notice this card does not have any DP paper, only cardstock. It does have several techniques - dry embossing, heat embossing, and torn paper.

I am entering this is the Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

I used color cooridinations cardstock. I tore the paper to make it look like hills. The swirly clouds are from WOJ and were stamped in white and heat embossed in white. Sugar is painted with 3D paint to make her coat realistic looking. Maggie and Charlie are colored with Copics and the spots on Charlie are glazed. I cut out the tree and apples and glossed the apples. The apples are also colored with copics, while the tree is sponged and popped up. There is a lot of dimension on this card. I used a cuttlebug folder on the red background and just sanded a little to let the white show through. The sentiment is also heat embossed and is a WOJ. The ribbon and charm made a wonderful embellishment.

There were lots of layers on this card.

More apples (don't want Charlie to go hungry). Again, the cuttlebug folder was used on the red background and sanded. The apple bowl is a WOJ. I used a MS punch to layer under the red. The apples are also glazed and a little stickles applied under the bowl.

Thank you for stopping by and if you have time please leave me a comment.

DON'T FORGET to check out the new digis at Digital Delights.

Meet Aud

Aud is one of the sneek peeks from Victoria Case "Hugs and Hearts Collection #2" exclusive for SCACD Stamp Company. Isn't she cute? She is so versatile, I had a hard time deciding on what sentiment to use, there are so many you can use with this image. She is heat embossed and colored with copics. I have found with heat embossing it is so shiny it puts a glare on some of the picture. I tried all angles, but this picture does not do justice to what Aud or this card really looks like. Make sure you check back tomorrow for another sneek peek. Also, TOMORROW is the release date at SCACD.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Whimsy Stamps Challenge

I think Aud is so adorable. She looks so cheerful and happy. I used a DP from CTMH. I added a little shimmerez to the roses to give a little shine. There is stickles on the flower of Aud's jacket and the flowers on her dress. The leaves are punched, sponged for a more realistic look and I used my stylus to draw stems on the leaves. The background for Aud was made using a Cuttlebug folder. To finish it off I added the ribbon and flatback pearls. The ribbon has just a slight shine to it even though the picture doesn't reflect it.

I popped up several different layers to make it more dimensional. This card looks so much better in person.

The inside is finished out with the DP, flatback pearls, and leaves. I also used the cuttlebug folder on the purple background.

DON'T FORGET TO COME BACK TOMORROW FOR ANOTHER SNEEK PEEK AND FOR

THE RELEASE OF "HUGS & HEARTS COLLECTION #2" EXCLUSIVELY FOR SCACD STAMP COMPANY.

Thank you for stopping by and if you have time, please leave me a comment.

I am so excited. This is my first post for the TIOT for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Store. This weeks challenge was to create a Back to School gift for either a teacher or student. I decided on making a teacher gift. I used Rebecka, she's one of Anki's Sweetheart Series 2. This stamp line is exclusive to Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. She was perfect for the project. She is stamp, heat embossed and colored with Copcis. I used a spica glitter pen on her stick, crystal effects on the chalkboard ,her headband and the red hat. I also glossed the worm and leaves on the apple. I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations Wednesday - Gift

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything but a Card

Lili of the Valley - So Charming

Forever Friends - Anything but a Card

I have a couple of friends who are teachers and they have to buy their own supplies so I made a gift basket with pencils, paper clips, glue sticks, erasers, ruler, and a bookmark. I made a double pocket for the ruler and bookmark.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and take a look. Please let me know what you think.

BABY MOUSE IN A NUT SHELL BOAT

Yea, it's mid week. Sometimes the time just flies by. This past weekend was very busy. My son in law came home for R & R from Iraq.

However, I did get this card made for FRIDAY SKETCHERS. The sketch worked perfectly with this image. The card looks simple, yet elegant. The colors are teal and purple. I am going to call this little baby mouse Timmy. Don't you just want to pick him up and cuddle him? It is a new stamp from Stampavie and I just had to have it.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamp Challenge - Animal Magic - I think Timmy qualifies for a sweet little furry animal.

Paperplay Challenge - All Creatures Great and Small - He qualifies for small as do his friends.
Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge - Cute as a Bug - He has a lot of little bug friends.

ABC Challenge - Anything goes and animals - he is a small animal.

This card has ten layers, if you include the popped up leaf. The image is heat embossed and colored with Copics. I have found it very difficult to get good pictures when you use stickles and gloss. The camera either picks up too much shine or not enough. If anyone has any tips, please pass them on. The water is glossed to look real, as well, as the leaf covering the bed. The butterfly, dragonfly, and the flowers have stickles applied to them. The two butterfly embellishments have wire antennas and body and little rhinestones on their wings. I used a sheer purple polka dotted ribbon to finish it off.

I carried the semi circle on to inside and added another little butterfly. The paper is from The Nursery paperpack.

Thank you for looking and please let me know what you think about Timmy. I enjoy reading your comments and visiting you blogs.

NOTE: I will be posting my candy blog this weekend in celebration of Labor Day.

TEA FOR TWO

I am doing the happy dance. I received some new stamps this week and they are so cute. This is one of them. It is called "Tea for Two" and it is from the Hearts and Hugs collection by Victoria Case for SCACD . Susana's Custom Art and Card Design is only 1 of 4 dealers to carry the new Elisabeth Bell stamps. I am entering this card in the Papertake Weekly Challenge , Whimsy Stamps Challenge, Everybody Art Challenge , and The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.

I stitched a leaf pattern on the side edges to add a different look. The image is stamped and heat embossed. It is colored with Copics. I added shimmerez to the flower and her dress. The leaves, the body of the butterfly, the tea cups and saucer, and her shoes are glossed with Crystal Effects. Of course, stickles is added to the flowers, butterfly wings, and flowers on her hat. I used a Spica glittler pen on her bracelet. I added glass gemstones and CTMH ribbon.

The image is cute without doing any layering, but I did cut out and pop up the flower and butterfly once to give it more dimension.

On the inside of the card I cut out part of the flower an butterfly and popped it up. The flower has shimmerez on it for a little shine and I added flower soft on the inside of the flower for the butterfly to sit on. The butterfly body is also glossed and I added wire for the antennas. The picture really doesn't capture how cut it is.

This is the inside of the card. The DP has lots of sparkle to it.

Thank you for taking the time to view my card. Please comment and let me know what you think.

NOTE: I will be having blog candy to give away to celebrate Labor Day so be sure and check back.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAVANNAH !!!!

I made this card for my youngest granddaughter, Savannah, who turns 3 today. I used Surprise Ridley digi images from Digital Delights. This card is designed from the sketch at Delightful Sketches Challenge. Be sure to check out the inside of this card. There are more Ridley images.

I also entered this card into the following challenges.

Digital Tuesday Challenge - Bling - I have.

Creative Inspirations - Bling - I have all kinds of bling.

Paperplay Challenge - Dimension - Definitely lots of dimension .

Stamp Something Challenge - Paper piece something - I paper pieced parts of the image.

Daring Cardmakers - Bejeweled Bliss - This card has glitter, jewels, and even the dp is sparkly.

The background DP is bright and glittery. We all know how little girls love glitter and bling. The image was colored using copics, then popped up, and the head popped again. I used a black glaze pen on his nose and whiskers and a clear glaze pen on his tongue. The white hightlights were made using a white gel pen. Isn't he just adorable ??(hehe) Of course, there had to be stickles added on the present for that extra bling. The blue strips were dry embossed with the Cuttlebug. The MS punch for the vertical strip added just the right touch enabling me to use rhinestones. I know, I know(hehe) - you noticed the stickles on the ribbon. It just needed that extra little bling.

The image was colored twice and popped up and then Ridley's head was popped up again. It was cut out with my nestabilities and sponged around the edges.

The inside of the card was made using the Ridley corner and Ridley tag. All of these are available at Digital Delights.

The pocket was made with MS punch. Of course, had to add rhinestones. Can't have an inside for a little girl without bling.

This is the backside of the tag. You can get all of these images and more of Ridley at Digital Delights.

I am so glad you stopped by to view my card.

Please, if you have time, leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Even if it is just a few words.

Thanks Again and God Bless
