MIXED MEDIA BLANK CANVAS COLLECTION #2

It's the beginning of a new day and new week.  It is definitely spring here and I think summer is right around the corner.

 

The tag I am sharing today has several stamps, but the main image is from the FOLLOW YOUR HEART TRUE SET . This set is definitely from the heart.  It has a wonderful collection of stamps.  The words are from the sentiment stamp that only comes with the THE BLANK CANVAS COLLECTION #2 SET sheet. The background stamps are BO BUNNY CLEAR ACRLYLIC STAMPS - GEOMETRIC and BO BUNNY CLEAR ACRLYLIC STAMPS - DISTRESSED TEXTURES.

 

Sometimes it is impossible to get what is in my head onto paper.  Red acrylic paint was used for the background.  The edging on the side is masking tape.  When I put it on I intentionally wrinkled it and then painted it.  The flowers, ribbon, and embellie is from my stash.

LEAP OF FAITH

Today we are having a fun blog hop with lots of ideas to share with you.

Also, today we have a guest designer so you should have arrived here from RITA'S BLOG. 

Following on from the fantastic Blank Canvas Collection, we are excited to present the  MIXED MEDIA BLANK CANVAS COLLECTION #2.   Building on the original release (recently featured in Craft Stamper Magazine), this new collection will take you on further creative adventures as you mix and match the stamps and use a variety of techniques. Perfect for beginners and seasoned mixed media enthusiasts alike, these stamps will grace cards and paper crafting projects as beautifully as they will altered canvases and other mixed media projects.

The image I am sharing is "LEAP OF FAITH".  There were so many things running through my mind that this image could be used for I had a hard time deciding so I  went with an inspiration card.  I see her sometimes as leaping for joy for being herself  - unique - and able to create, dream, and hope.  The words on the card are from the stamp that is an EXTRA if you purchase the complete WOMEN SET  -  I just stamped and cut them out, but it would make a great background stamp.

The corners are from the COMPASS - NATURE'S DIRECTION SET  which is partially displayed on the card.  Below is a picture of the compass in its entirety. 



Also, did you notice the cool crackling look behind the image?  This set  is going to be one of my favorite background stamps.  It is LIGHTENING - NATURE'S DIRECTION SET.  The COMPASS and LIGHTENING ARE SOLD TOGETHER AS A SET. 

Also, today there are  4 NEW DIES BY SCACD  being released today.

ODDLY SWEET CURIOSITIES COLLECTION 3 & 4

Good Morning,

 

Today is a bright sunny day here in Texas.  It is cold and windy, but the sun is shining.  All of you in the cold weather states - keep safe and warm.

 

This week I wanted to try something different so I made a tag.  The background is made using dye inks.  Stamped some dots with white acyrlic paint.  I stamped the sentiment that comes with MOMENTS - Take a moment, get lost in thought very lightly with a teal ink.  For something different to add a little more texture and dimension I stamped some diamonds with Versamark ink and embossed with a clear embossing powder.    Then I stamped the image - MOMENTS in black and colored with DYLUSION INKS.  To finish off the image I added a little STICKLES on the hearts. 

 

The butterflies at the bottom of the tag is Washi Tape.  It was pink but after putting it down it absorbed some of the other colors which is better.  I was trying to capture some of the embossing in this picture so you can see the texture.

Oddly Sweet Curiosities Collection #3 & #4

Hope all of you have had a wonderful week and have a great weekend planned.  Today I would like to share a birthday card I made for my grandson using Me & My Lil' Buddy.  Don't they look happy and on their way to a party?  The image is colored with Copics and then I used some crackle paint to give him some scaly dimension.  This image comes with the sentiment "It's the little things that make a Friendship".

 



 

The paper is My Minds Eye from SCACD.  Susana has a lot of the paper pads on sale, so check them out.  The corner pieces are Dies by SCACD - Ornate Hinge with Kaisercraft Rhinestones to finish them off.

This morning I woke up to candy, card, and a loving husband.  What could be better?

Today, I want to share this cute little page I did.  I really love doing mixed media - it is so free and so much fun.  The cute little images are from the ODDLY CURIOUSITES SET #3 and #4.   LOVES ME   (female) is from set #3 and THE SPOTLIGHT  (male) is from set #4.  I thought they were just perfect for Valentine's Day.  The sentiment "DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?  OR SHOULD I JUST WALK BY AGAIN? is the sentiment that comes with LOVES ME - I just typed it to enlarge it for my page.

 

There were several CRAFTERS WORKSHOP STENCILS used including HARLEQUIN  and PEBBLES.   Other stamps used were STAMPOTIQUE - HANGING HEARTS  and DANIELS HEART - 6109 and LOCKHART STAMP - LOVE.  I used the hot glue technique at the bottom to try and make it look like grout with the stones.   Unfortunately, the picture does not doe this page justice as there is gloss and some glitz that it does not reveal.

Today SCACD releases the sequel to the oh so popular ODDLY SWEET CURIOSITIES!!!

This is a fun and fresh stamp Collection from SUSANA LOVES STAMPS!!! We proudly introduce the ODDLY SWEET CURIOSITIES SETS 3 and 4 which house some of the cutest little Curiosities with matching sentiments. SCACD has continued with the appeal these little Curios have that are a combination of inspiration as well as happiness thru laughter the best medicine!!! Each Curiosity comes with its own matching sentiment. So pick up one or the whole set so you can mix and match the sentiments.  I want to share two of the little guys with you - CLUELESS  and THE THINKER .  The little CLUELESS makes me happy . Sometimes that is how I feel - just crazy and happy.  The ONE IN A MILLION  has the sweetest little face.  One of my puppies has the same little sweet look. 

 

There are lots of different stamps and stencils used in the background so I will list them below.  For the bright colors I used DYLUSIONS INK SPRAY.  The images were colored with Copics and then I used some gloss on them.

Good Morning,

It's Friday!!  I don't remember if I told you guys I am visiting my grandchildren in beautiful Hawaii.  It is so relaxing and beautiful here.  Will be here for another week checking out other beaches and malls and then head home.
