GONE FISHING

Good Morning!! I am in love with this new release set Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition #5. This little boy reminds me so much of my grandson so, of course, I made this card for him. The image is called "Gone Fishing".

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Creative Craft Challenge - Stamp it Up
ABC Challenge - Xtra Dimension
Crafty Creations - We Want to See You Shine
Charisma Cardz - One for the Boys
One Stop Craft Challenge - One for the Boys
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Color Combo - Brown, Blue, Green

Before I get to my card, you should have arrived here from the talented Rowena's blog. Thank you for joining us in our Blog Hop. There are so many creative projects I know you will have fun.

I realized when I was coloring this little guy, he could be used to celebrate a birthday, retirement or many occasions. I am actually going to use it as a Get Well card even though on the outside it doesn't say Get Well. The image is colored with Copics and I used my VIVA Glitter Pen on the fish on his cap and pole. The pole is colored with a Spica Pen. I make a lot of little girl cards so when I make a boy card I really have to search for embellishments. The little beige metal clip on the left is from CTMH and the buttons are from my stash and I tied Scrapper's Floss in each one. The two fish embellishments are actually fishing lures and I cut off the hooks. I think the end result turned out nice.

This card is "Joy Fold Card". The tutorial is here. Of course, I changed my measurements a little. I have never made one and wanted to do something different. It was fun. I may try a different variation next time.

There is plenty of room on the inside to stamp or write something. I will definitely try this again.

Now to more FUN !! Go on over to very creative talented Carolyn's blog .

Thank you for joing us and hope you are enjoying yourself and getting lots of creative ideas.

Hugs,

I love the completeness of your whole card - the way it all works together. A lovely example of non-girliness.

I always get "stuck" when doing a masculine card. This is so inspiring. Everything about it says "guy". The embellishments are awesome.
